Overview

The Advanced Construction Management Professional (ACMP) is the senior NACP construction management credential. It is designed to help experienced construction managers differentiate themselves as they seek roles with more responsibility, and to help their companies list ACMP-credentialed staff in proposals.

The process is self-paced online: complete the four-module PMI-CP course covering Project Management Institute construction content, then complete three assessments: self, scenario-based, and supervisor. Petersen Training provides personalized support across the entire credentialing process. Successful candidates receive the NACP ACMP credential and certificate of completion.

Frequently asked questions

Why is BCMP required first?
ACMP is the senior credential in the NACP construction management track. NACP requires BCMP first to ensure participants have the foundational knowledge and credential before advancing.
Do I have to take the PMI-CP exam?
No. Completing the PMI-CP online course is required for ACMP, but you are not required to sit for the PMI-CP exam. If you choose to, you will be prepared, but the credential you earn here is the NACP ACMP.
What if I score below 3.3 on the assessments?
You wait six months after the final report and then retake the assessments. The retest fee is $200. Our team will work with you on a development plan during the waiting period.
Are group rates available?
Credentialing programs come with per-person pricing, and group discounts are not offered. However, on-site delivery to a company cohort is often the most efficient path. Contact us for a quote.
How long does the whole credentialing process take?
Most candidates complete it in 2–4 months. The online PMI-CP modules are self-paced, then the three assessments and supervisor coordination drive the rest of the timeline.
